1 Merging accessory items

(Additional function with costs)

When inserting accessory items in the order, identical items are combined into one item.

There are two possibilities of such combination:

1.) An accessory article is only combined into one position within a chapter.

2.) An accessory article is combined into one position within the entire order.

ATTENTION:

  • ONLY those items are combined for which the setting [Combine as accessories] is also active in the item master data.
  • This means that only when this item is added as an accessory item will it be combined into one item.

If an item marked in this way is inserted as a normal item in the order (i.e. NOT as an accessory item!), then it will NOT be combined with other items containing the same item.

EXCEPTIONS
  • Accessory items that are part of a SET can/should NOT be grouped together.
  • For set items, the grouping of accessory items is PROHIBITED and will not be executed.

Background:

  • If you delete a set, then all its items must also be deleted.
  • If these were merged (i.e. merged with NOT set items), then deletion of such items would not be possible.

Limitation:

  • The [Merge Accessory Items] function only works with subsequent, manual insertion of accessory items in the order.
  • This means that, for example, when using fast entry, the option [Insert accessories automatically] there should be deactivated in order to insert the accessories afterwards (via button) and thus to use the function [Merge accessory items] successfully.
